This site's proprietors, Earl and Elaine Williams, own and operate a successful business selling bird cages and cage accessories, known as the Bird & Cage Co. Be sure to visit their successful online storefront at www.birdandcage.com.
Almost four years ago, Earl and Elaine began raising Doberman Pinschers. It all started when Earl bought Elaine their first Doberman puppy, Gretchen, as a Christmas present. It wasn't long before Gretchen had mightily impressed them with her intelligence and trainability, and so they decided to breed her.
The puppies turned out to be even more adorable than expected, and Earl and Elaine found that they just couldn't bear to part with all of them. In the end, they chose to keep Gretchen's daughter Ruby. After some thought, they realized that if they wanted to continue to breed classic Doberman Pinschers, they would need a good stud, and Cash became a member of the family, and the founding sire for Trueblood Kennels
As it worked out, Cash has 'claimed' Elaine as his own special human (perhaps it helped that they went through obedience school together). Elaine believes he would lay it all on the line for her, but Earl needs no consolation; his 'girls' are all just as crazy about him.
Earl and Elaine's grandsons Nathan and Caleb have become an important part of the business, assisting in the work of socializing the youngsters and getting them accustomed to being around children.
Proper socialization is an important part of the education of any young doberman! Elaine and Earl's grandson Caleb is particularly enthusiastic about performing this 'chore', and spends a good bit of his time with the dogs whenever he is visiting his grandparents.
